Lourin Mardini is a Syrian poet, performer, and art therapist based in Luxembourg since 2023, with an academic background in pharmacy. Her work explores existential inquiry, queer identity, radical openness, and healing through artistic expression. Rooted in lived experience and community engagement, her poetry moves between vulnerability and resistance, offering language as a space for transformation.
Lourin is active in the Luxembourgish cultural scene as a slam poet, workshop facilitator, and interdisciplinary artist.
As the winner of the Luxembourg Poetry Slam Championship in 2024, she opened the finals of the European Poetry Slam Championship in Košice and has been celebrating poetry with her slamily ever since.
